Ballantyne Festival, A HUGE Success!
This first annual event, much like the urban Midwood Maynia, included a parade of politicians, a chili cook-off, lots of children’s activities, music and fabulous food! The political candidates (from both parties, from local to national levels) were out mingling with the attendants as well as serving up the chili for those attending the 2011 Ballantyne Festival.
SAVVY was a proud sponsor of this annual event! We met many of our South Charlotte, Ballantyne and even South Carolina neighbors! A good time was definitely had by all!
As usual, our children’s table with a fun project occupied the children! We also invited the Pink Ladies of Ballantyne to set up shot at our table to help with breast cancer awareness. I don’t know how many bows they sold but, I do know that they were never without a ‘customer!’
Savvy’s resident pastry chef, Ella, provided savvylicious brownies for the event too–and those were definitely the hit of the event! As a matter-of-fact, dozens and dozens of the popular delights were gone in record time!
Thanks for everyone who participated and who were able to lend a hand at the booth this year. We wouldn’t have changed one thing about our day in Ballantyne! Looking forward to next year! Enjoy the photos and video below from the event.
