Charlotte Chamber – Eclipse Automation Expanding to Charlotte
The Charlotte Chamber is constantly at work to grow the Charlotte economy. Recently announced by the Chamber, Eclipse Automation, a Canadian-based company, will be expanding its operations to the Mecklenburg County area under the name Eclipse Automation Southeast, LLC.
Eclipse Automation partners with energy, health sciences, transportation, mining and consumer industries world-wide. Eclipse Automation partners with Fortune 1000 companies worldwide to build efficient and profitable assembly and testing operations. This move will allow this leading supplier of custom automated manufacturing equipment to deliver solutions more efficiently through North America.
Eric Nitsche, president of Eclipse Automation Southeast in Charlotte added, “We are extremely confident that the Eclipse business model will flourish in the southeastern U.S. The region continues to be vibrant and is poised for further growth. In the end, we want to ensure that this active manufacturing sector has ready access to Eclipse’s exceptional solutions and our people who deliver them.”
Bob Morgan, president of the Charlotte Chamber, welcomes Eclipse Automation saying, “They are key suppliers to several of our target industry sectors which should further enhance the expansion of our existing industry as well as our ability to attract additional manufacturing operations in Charlotte.”
Thanks to Governor McCrory, the N.C. Department of Commerce, Central Piedmont Community College and Charlotte Works for their work in recruiting more relocation (including jobs) to our beautiful city.
The new facility will be located in the Whitehall Technology Park in the Steele Creek area of Charlotte. The company plans to create 50 new jobs for the area.
