QR Codes – What Are These Things All About?
Just in case you’re curious why you’re seeing a QR code on our site (otherwise described as a bar code) at the bottom of our page, we’ve added it to better equip our smartphone users in the various ways described below.
Here are a few ways that you can utilize QR codes and why they are posted directly on our websites, front and center for your convenience:
- Sharing a downloadable item such as a mobile app to our home search website. The use of the QR code is so much simpler than typing in the link on your smartphone. (This one will be coming soon to our ‘Contact Us’ page).
- Sharing our address or contact information for you to add to your address book. Easy peasy–Yoou can scan that QR code and you’ll have me in your phone as a contact!
- We may Create a tour utilizing maps and QR codes for our buyers and email it to you so that you can drive by the properties to see if you like the area. Buyers can scan it from our email onto your computer before you head out.
- We want our site to be mobile-friendly! QR codes make a good deal of sense for mobile-friendly consumers. We strive to have a mobile-friendly site, utilizing the QR code so that you can quickly scan as you…
- Head out to preview a listing. I even enjoy this one! For me, it’s SO much easier than logging onto the browser on my smartphone, typing (with my large fingers on the small smartphone keyboard!) the url and possibly missing a letter and having to begin all over again!)
- Before meeting me for evening showings, you can scan the search page and easily pinpoint the listing and even map where we’re meeting right on their smartphone.
- If you’re a relocation client and you want to download my contact information to their phone without the risk of typing a wrong number in your phone contact before you leave your exit city for a visit here in Charlotte, QR codes are the way to be certain that you’ve got the correct number in your phone!
QR codes instantly transition you, the consumer, from a website to mobile device. Our goal is to make this transition between the mobile world and the online/web world as seamless as possible. QR codes are just the technology to do this.
