Restaurant Review – Nana’s Soul Food Kitchen
Dear friends arrived in Charlotte this evening and after checking into their hotel near the west side of Charlotte, my husband and I suggested meeting at Nana’s Soul Food Kitchen. The restaurant is known for their delicious fired catfish and chicken and their collard greens but, we’ve never heard a negative thing about the place or any of the dishes served. The four of us had a variety of dishes and no one had one single complaint – in fact, it’s some of the best food you’ll eat!
The ambiance was much like a cafeteria/diner – very casual and the perfect place to dine after a long flight – no fuss, no muss! There are no fancy plates or even ‘real’ silverware but, boy, the food is out of this world! The only negative about Nana’s was the dilemma you’ll have, trying to decide which dishes you want to try. The prices are very reasonable – the four of us dined for just over $50. Where else can you get a home-style meal for so little? The service was good and the restaurant was clean and well-staffed.
We give this wonderful establishment a 5-star rating and are looking forward to our next dining experience at Nana’s Soul Food Kitchen.
