Three Tips for Buying During Charlotte’s 2023 Spring Market
Are you contemplating buying a home in the Charlotte Metro this year? Well, we are in the beginning stages of our usual hot spring market! Multiple Offers are not a thing of the past, despite what you hear on the news! I know – I’ve represented both buyers and sellers in recent weeks and we are definitely still working in a hot buyers market.
So, what is a buyer to do in today’s market?
Here are three tips for buying during Charlotte’s 2023 spring market – and beyond.
- Have a sense of urgency – there ARE buyers out. You DO have competition in the market right now, despite what you’re hearing on the news. When a property hits the market, GO SEE IT and if you like it, MAKE AN OFFER ON IT. There is no assurance that it will still be on the market tomorrow!
- Remember, if you’re a renter, begin your search before you only have a month to the end of your lease. Many buyers don’t think about this but, your first mortgage payment won’t be due for 1-1.5 months of your Closing. So, you won’t have ‘double payments’ during that time. Speak with your lender to confirm your timeline and let’s make an Offer to Close accordingly.
- Don’t let analysis paralysis set in! Take direction from your experienced real estate professional. Bear in mind one thing – regardless of the cost of real property now, Charlotte CONSISTENTLY shows solid appreciation in 3-5 years.
